Through the medium of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine assisted Growth and learning, the sanctuary promotes the physical and psychological health, happiness and well being of horses, children, adolescents, families, adults, and elders. We provide the structure, knowledge, skills and resources to help people help themselves.

CASA ( Court Appointed Special Advocate) Close to 200 children had a Court Appointed Special Advocate last year. Every one of these children has been physically or sexually abused, neglected or abandoned. When the Juvenile Court has determined that a child must be removed from his or her home to avoid further danger, the impact on the child can lead to an increased sense of vulnerability, helplessness and confusion that can stay with them a lifetime. Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Willow Pond Ranch is partnering with CASA of Santa Cruz County to provide a meaningful experience for ongoing groups of children. These groups will have the opportunity to connect with adult mentors along with a psychotherapist and the horses at the ranch in a structured, on going therapeutic program. We need your financial support to help sustain this program, and help heal these children. Our goal is to raise $20,000, to provide a year long program for these children.
